Seaside in February

We felt the need to get out of the house today, so despite the bad weather we all got in the car and drove to Hornsea, a little seaside place close to us, for some fossil hunting.

As soon as we got there it started to rain, so we had a picnic in the car, closely observed by a growing flock of gulls.

It was pretty grim out there - cold, wet and windy.

The boys didn't mind much! ;)

  1. I see you have those vigilant, ready-to-steal, sea gulls like we do.

    1. They certainly were vigilant. They were watching us the whole time while we were eating! :)

  2. Beautiful even when it's February and cold and cloudy. Your little people are so cute all bundled up. Good for you to get them out in the fresh air!

    1. It really was beautiful, in a wild way... And yes, they looked funny in their millions jumpers and trousers and jackets! Boy#3 could hardly walk, he was so bundled up! :)

  3. So good to blow away the cobwebs. Winter can seem as if you are trapped inside sometime.

  4. There is nothing nicer than a trip to the beach to blow away the cobwebs. I am blessed I live a five minute walk away from the beach.
