I admit defeat...

Until I submit my thesis, not much is going to happen, not knitting-wise, not spinning-wise, and definitely not regarding blog entries. I will finish my Sockapaloooza assignment, obviously, but other than that, I doubt there will be time.

I miss it all, being crafty, writing, and reading about what you have all been up to, but something has got to give and right now it just can't be my work. I've got something like 4-6 weeks to edit everything I have written so far and to come up with a conclusion that will make sense to me and to others, and just now, looking at the picture above of our Victorian ruin in Yorkshire, it occurred to me that really, my thesis is in a similar state. The walls are there, and the roof, but to be habitable it needs a heck of a lot of work.

There have also been other things, recently, which have taken up a lot of our time, but all that will have to wait until I submit.

I hope you'll still remember me when I eventually get back - I certainly will remember you, and I can't wait to catch up!! For now, take care of yourselves, and until hopefully very soon. Hugs to you all! :-)

Erm, that picture looks like my Study/House/etc etc except that the mess is spread further afield. Glad the Olympics are over so I can get some sleep and clean up the house. Take care of you - you are in the final seeming stages of your Thesis and soon will have a great "garment" to show off to people.

  9. I'm sure your thesis will be brilliant! Just remember to take a break every once in a while to do something you enjoy so that it doesn't completely overwhelm you. Of course we won't forget you, silly.

I had to come up with a stonking 30,000 word introduction to explain all my thesis work in about 6 weeks, during which time I was not working but my gran died. It was hell, but I did it. Remember, the work is done, you are on the last bit.

Good luck. Catch up with you later.

  14. Good luck with the thesis, and remember what I said about regular short breaks and "treats" ! We'll all still be here when you get back! I remember revising for my finals - all of a sudden, I felt the weird need to clean the oven! Strange brain avoidance tactics! :)
