There will hopefully be a bigger update later (and I'm still planning on finishing my write-up of the honeymoon / yarnshop tour of New England), but for now I just want to say that there is a new section in my sidebar: Sell and Swap!
I've been meaning to de-stash for a while now, because I desperately need more space in my office, but it's hard, I'm telling you. I get attached to things and even if I know that I'm never going to knit with a yarn, I find it difficult to say good bye... There will probably be more, as I manage to distance myself emotionally, but for now, this is the stuff that really needs to find a new home.
Anyway, have a look and let me know if anything interests you. :)
Ha! You got me all excited then with thoughts of a stash to drool over, but I can't get the link to work :(
ReplyDeleteHmmm, how strange! It works fine for me, but maybe try typing it in directly:

Iris,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab idea. I haven't been knitting for long and I'm already collecting wool and knowing that i'm never going to use it but when you see a bag for 50p in a charity shop you can't leave it can you?
What kind of weight is the black mohair?

Hi Nic,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - I keep on buying yarn, and sometimes, after a while I just know that I'm never going to get round to knitting anything with it...
The black mohair comes in 25g balls and, according to the label, it is supposed to be used with US6 (4.5mm) needles. I think you could probably also use larger needles than that, though - the fuzziness of mohair makes it quite flexible as to what size needles it is knitted with.
